SSAT preparation is just one way InAmerica’s admissions consultation program supports students at all stages of their academic career. Let us help you set—and reach—your educational goals one step at a time.

The InAmerica Difference

At InAmerica, SSAT prep is more than practice tests—it’s a stepping stone toward a world-class education. Our consultants draw from firsthand admissions experience to deliver guidance that’s personalized, insightful, and always student-centered.

Each of our dedicated consultants has personal experience in the admissions process, often as former students navigating the complex system of private schools and universities themselves. They bring that knowledge, along with sharp insight and genuine compassion, to the next generation of students.

We provide SSAT prep through our K–12 consulting program, which offers customized academic support plans to help students reach their full potential.

Take the first step toward your student’s academic future with a free consultation.

How InAmerica Consulting Helps Students Score Better

We’ve been there, so we know how to set up students for success. Our consulting services help students understand the SSAT and put their best foot forward. In collaboration with one of our consultants, students can:

✔️ Learn more about the value of the SSAT.
✔️ Gain relevant test knowledge.
✔️ Take practice tests.
✔️ Develop test-taking strategies.
✔️ Evaluate and choose which SSAT method suits them best.
✔️ Register for appropriate test accommodations.

Most importantly, consulting services give students community and confidence as they navigate admissions testing. With this support, students can perform their best when test time comes—drawing more easily on the knowledge and skills they possess.

About the SSAT

Just as schools use the SAT or ACT to evaluate potential students at the collegiate level, the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) is widely used by private K–12 schools.

There are three versions of the test, each created for specific grade levels:

When used as part of a comprehensive admissions process, SSAT scores can show the capabilities and potential of a student compared to their peers. The test helps schools place students in the right classes and offer them appropriate support.

What a Good SSAT Score Means

A good SSAT score opens doors to a bright future. While it’s not the only metric schools look at, it can be one of the most objective. On the SSAT, students aren’t measured by their social skills or personal circumstances but by their knowledge and cognitive skills.

Students receive two scores when they complete the SSAT:

A total scaled score

or the raw number of points the student scored

资源 27_3x.png

A total percentile

which compares their score to those of their peers

Success on the SSAT sets students up to enter elite private schools and take on substantive academic coursework. For many, it can be one of the first steps toward later educational milestones, like competitive high school transcripts and university admissions.

What to Expect on the SSAT

The SSAT is a standardized test consisting of multiple choice questions and a writing section. The writing section is not scored; admissions officers use it to review a student’s writing skills.

The multiple-choice questions are broken down into four sections:

Students can choose to take the test in various formats, including on paper or online, at home or at a testing center. This allows students to choose the format that best suits their testing style and needs. With time allotted for breaks, the test takes about two hours at the elementary level and three hours at the middle and upper levels.
