Lilly Yu is the Founder and Managing Partner of InAmerica Education and serves as Head of Chair at IEG. Since establishing InAmerica in 2013, she has led its evolution into a distinguished international education platform, guided by a long-term, institution-building vision.

Lilly’s entrepreneurial path began during her undergraduate years, shaped by a deeply held belief that education should be both personal and transformative. From the outset, she recognized that each student’s journey is unique—and that true educational success lies not in standardized outcomes, but in discovering a path aligned with one’s potential. Her early work with families revealed a broader truth: education is not a transactional process of school placement, but a continuous, strategic journey of growth, direction, and opportunity. This perspective led her to pursue graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education.

Under her leadership, InAmerica has transitioned from a traditional admissions advisory firm into a highly curated, high-touch platform with a family office-style approach, based in New York. The organization partners closely with families over the long term, offering not only academic planning and admissions strategy, but also access to an exclusive ecosystem of research, internships, and enrichment opportunities. Through this integrated model, students are empowered to cultivate intellectual depth, personal clarity, and a distinctive trajectory.

In 2025, InAmerica further expanded its educational footprint through the acquisition of a leading K12 private school in Arizona. By engaging directly in school leadership and long-term academic development, Lilly extended the firm’s role beyond advisory into active participation in educational design and institutional stewardship.
